Rachel Withers is an Australian writer and podcast producer with an interest in politics, feminism, technology and culture. She has a Master’s degree in Cultural Reporting and Criticism from NYU and has freelanced for Slate, Vox, The Guardian, Medium, Jezebel, Crikey, and Junkee.
She doesn’t date men who yell at Alexa, felt shame toward her country over the Christchurch attack, and doesn’t write most of these headlines.
Prior to moving to New York to focus on journalism, Rachel spent a number of years running clubs, activities, campaigns, and shenanigans at the University of Melbourne, ultimately becoming president of the student union. She once got a tattoo of a spoon for points in a university scavenger hunt.
